Today on the podcast, I have a LONG overdue interview with my friend Jessica Peresta. Jessica is really and truly a breath of fresh air. I love our honest and raw conversations and I am so glad to share one of them with you today on the podcast! Jessica shares her story and actionable tips about how to make life work as a music teacher. I know you’ll enjoy listening in on our conversation as much as we had chatting with one another!
Jessica holds a Bachelors of Music Education and taught elementary music for 7 years while also teaching private piano lessons and also serving as a piano accompanist. Now, she’s the host of The Elementary Music Teacher podcast and the blogger, music teacher mentor, and resource provider at The Domestic Musician. She’s passionate about providing other music teachers with music education resources, lesson plans, teacher training, and community. She believes your domestic life outside of school should be spent soaking up time with family and friends and that your music teacher life while at school should not leave you feeling defeated, but should be a joyful, exciting, and rewarding experience.
